5.0 out of 5 stars A superb collection, 8 April 2001
By A Customer
This is a superb collection of drawings and paintings with many household known names such as Rembrandt and Ingres. It includes erotic drawings from famous events such as the French Revolution. It starts with pictures from around 5000 BC as well as images from the Roman empire and much more; evidence that porn really is old hat and nothing new, in fact on the minds of everyone really. Look, you can bury your head in the sand and believe it doesn't exist or you can engage with its hypnotic and stimulating power. If you want fascination; stimulation and historical primary sources focused on the erotic expression of ordinary people through the ages then you will not be disappointed with this very explicit book. Well worth the money.

This book is a wonderful compilation of erotic art that spans years and cultures usually overlooked. An art lover with a taste for the sensual will breathe a breath of fresh air when devouring this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unabashed, shameless, brilliant, 23 Jan 2005
I bought this book many years ago and still pick it up for a browse even today. The art comes from as far back as before 450BC and I don't think there is a fetish/subject matter not covered. Fascinating in the extreme! :)
