I bought this map because it looked like it's printed in year 2001. (I couldn't find the year of publication from the map.) It was a unpleasent surprise to notice that the publisher hasn't updated the map in years! Street names in Windhoek have totally changed after independence and South Africa returned Walvis Bay to Namibia in 1994. If you want real time information forget this map. If you want map poster to your wall, you may like it.

The main map covers the whole country at a scale of of 1:2,400,000 and shows clearly the main features such as roads towns and National Parks. On the reverse are more detailed maps of Etocha abd Namiv National Parks and the main towns including Windhoek. All of the maps are clearly printed with good keys and are easy to read.
There is other indormation printed around the maps - this includes not only a comprehensive place name index but also general information about Namibia and even line drawings of wildlife to aid identification.
Of course a larger scale map would give more detail and a guide book more facts but for a small price this map gives the basics and would suit most people who are on an organised tour and want to follow their progress. At the same time it does have enough to act as a road map.
