I got this story to read to my son, who is nearly 4.
He was very interested in this book, so much so that as soon as I'd read it to him, he wanted me to read it again straight after!The story teaches children the benefits of sharing things, rather than being selfish.
A beautifully illustrated book, my little boy especially liked the fish's silver scales which stand out in the pictures.
Highly recommended to adult and child!

This fantastic book from Marcus Pfister has colourful illustrations with shiny paper added to attract childrens' eyes. It has an underlying message of sharing with others and how good this makes people feel. As a class teacher i have shared this book with many classes and it also acts as a theme for wonderful displays.

My daughter (who is five) first heard this story at school and I was plagued to buy it for her. She loves it so much and is now one of her favourite bed time reads. It has friendly characters in it, and it is very colourfull book making it appealing to younger children.
