A brief review of this book has shown me that Douglas Ward does not know his stuff. There are numerous ratings that are off the mark. To rate the "Seven Seas Navigator" the same 4-stars+ as the "Voyager of the Seas" and the "Wind Surf" tells me he hasn't even seen the ships. One of his qualifications for a "four-star+" rating is "few lines anywhere". If you think you are not going to wait in line on a ship with over 3,000 other passengers then you are a true optimist. The Navigator is a beautiful all-suite ship. His own evaluation of the accommodations on the Navigator state that the smallest suite on the Navigator is more than double the the size of the smallest cabin on the on the Voyager. Douglas Ward rates the "Europa" a 5-star ship which I agree is correct. However, the Voyage is not a 4-star+ ship. It belongs in the 3-star+ category with the rest of the mass-market product.

I would never use this book as my ship "bible". It is a good reference book, but not the best tool out there.

being a regular cruiser from the u/k . i read all the guides avidly and compare them. the berlitz guide cannot be taken seriosly// by regular cruisers// for example the paul gauguin is rated 6star by every book and magazine except berlitz they say 4star why i do not believe they go on half these ships
