Review

"The fact is, Ronda Rousey could punch you in the face any time she wanted, and she has completely created her own life and she's having an incredible career that most of us could only dream of and she doesn't give a s**t what you think. And that point of view is really, really threatening to certain people, especially when it comes in the form of a woman, because to a man, a woman not caring what you think means that all your power is gone. You can't control her anymore."

Great book. Yes I am Ronda Rousey fan. I like her tell it like it she sees it attitude. This makes her a polerising figure. If you don't like what she said she does not care. If you don't know who Ronda Rousey is you must be living under a rock. This is an honest account of life so far. This book is written with her same laser focus to be the best at whatever she does.Dana said it best the only complaint about this book is Ronda is still so young she has not even peaked yet in her career yet, it is just that she has done so many amazing thing so far.

The book is well written. Each chapter is name after one of the principles from her warrior code most of which were quotes and principles installed in her by her mother. Every chapter then starts with a short paragraph of Ronda explaining this quote/principle then the carries on with the story. This give the book a part feel of a self help book. Sort of like GSP's book but done slightly better.

Ronda shows the difference between potential and the physical, mental, and sacrifices necessary to achieve greatness. To some she might come across as arrogant but this type of self belief is a necessary component in achieving ones dreams. How can you expect others to believe in you if you do not believe in yourself.

I really like the way the book is written not from the point of view of not trying to garner sympathy, but to get the reader to understand the sacrifices and work put in to achievements. She names all her competitors and rivals and is not shy about giving her opinion about them, but in her personal life her former boyfriends name are omitted and replaced with her name for them.

The is a short chapter on Ronda's season on the Ultimate Fighter against Meisha Tate.

Having lost interest in MMA a few years back, I largely missed the sensational rise of Ronda 'Rowdy' Rousey. I picked this book up, interested in learning more about women's MMA and haven't been able to put it down. Reading this book, I got the sense that Ronda was one of the most dedicated athletes in the world and has a strong do-or-die mentality. This, alongside her compelling personal challenges makes her story very inspiring and an incredibly interested read.

My Fight, Your Fight is Ronda's first autobiography, accounting for her early childhood life, the death of her father and subsequent life challenges. Ronda divulges her memories of judo successes (and perceived failures) before dedicating the latter half of the book to her rise to stardom in women's MMA and later, UFC.

This book is a brilliant read. I don't particularly watch any combat sports these days but reading about a champions mentality and lifestyle is completely thrilling. I would recommend this book to everyone. Whether there is an interest in combat sports or not, the reader can gain life lessons in mentality and in working towards goals from reading this book.

Congratulation to Ronda on a brilliantly entertaining, super-inspiring, refreshingly authentic autobiography.

Normally I'm not one for biographies of celebrities, but being a fan MMA and Rousey as a fighter I thought I'd give it a whirl.

It's very well written, has a number of stories and anecdotes that have been in the news before notably her father's death but are told as if she were talking to a normal person, not a reporter, not a bunch of cameras, it's a real story, and there are a number of those, some that make her look hood, some bad but all of them together make them the history behind a real person, not the person she is portrayed as in the media. A kid who made mistakes, an adult who struggles with their place in the world but a person who knew what they wanted to do and put themselves in a place where people who doubted she or any woman should be competing in MMA, look up and take notice.

I rrad it cover to cover barely putting it down.

The haters are still going to hate.

A fascinating & mesmerizing insight into the life & times of a new kind of fighting hero. It's as hard hitting as Ronda herself and keeps the reader enthralled with each chapter of her rags to riches real life story. She battles the tragic loss of her father from an early age & her every day personal battles with love, life & family. It demonstrates the importance of being mentally strong & overcoming adversity. This is the best autobiography I have read & I did not want to put it down. It is sad, tragic & honest as it is uplifting & inspiring. A very enjoyable read which delivers a knockout punch as good as Ronda herself!

If you like Ronda or not, if you like UFC/MMA or not, this is an excellent book about dedication to ones goals. What it takes to succeed and how hard it is to get to an elite level. I recommend letting kids read this. In a world of footballers who get to a level and then throw away their talent. This book explains what it takes to become the best and can transfer to anything you want to achieve. Ronda is an incredible athlete, it's sometimes easy to believe that people are just born with these talents, but this book explains in great detail what sacrifices and belief it takes to get to that level. Really enjoyable read
