Product Description

Product Description

When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth. Four mismatched survivors take refuge from a zombie plague inside a shopping mall, and absolute terror ensues. This companion film to George A. Romero's classic Night of the Living Dead now takes on new life in a graphic novel adaptation by Steve Niles (30 Days of Night, Wake the Dead) and new art star Chee (Wake The Dead).

1.0 out of 5 stars Such a Shame, 19 Oct 2005

Hello!

I'll keep this brief. I love zombie films, books and games, I have loved them for a long time. And I dont call myself an expert but i can tell whats good and whats not, The dawn of the dead comic IS NOT. I know this film, both original and remake off by heart and reading the comic is killing me, I wish I'd saved the £8 and bought something else. The graphics are sub-standard compared to lesser known comics, including those available free online (http://www.livingwithzombies.com) and instead of taking a slightly newer slant on the story, mabye adding some new lines or even a new character here and there they havent! the script from the film has simply been lifted and attached to poor scribbles. Now granted im still on chapter two but i have glanced through the rest of this mess to see it doesnt pick up graphics wise.

Anyway once ive finished ill add to this comment, but in the mean time wait till this comes down in price, or if you see it at a car boot sale.

But i suppose if you've never seen the film before and are eight years old, this will be a good wee comic!

thanks for reading, hope it helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars a respectful tribute to the original movie masterpiece, 31 Jan 2006
By A Customer
i am a admirer of the horror genre and a fan of the film director george a romero.
chee + niles graphic novel of romeros movie is fantastic and a must have for all true zombie fans. its not as good as the night of the living dead graphic novel, but its certainly worth the cost of a few pints plus romero himself gives the comic thumbs up what more could you ask.
