5.0 out of 5 stars Heart Rendering, Sensitive, Moving & TRUE, 8 May 2001
By Mrs. Tracey Vaughan (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

I am a fan of John Edward as a psychic medium and also as a writer. In this book he journeys from the present to the past. Albeit the book is extremely short, but from the minute I opened the book I couldn't put it down I read it from cover to cover within 2 hours. It brought me laughter and tears.

It completely smoothed my soul and warmed my heart, as this book was so short, it hit the precise spot almost immediately. It ventures to talk about his love for his family and extended family, him love for his grandmother and mother who is dying of cancer. It made me realise that such devastating news such as death is made alot easier to deal with when you know that the person you love dearly has really gone but is with you all of the time. The saying I have is "THE LOVE YOU HAVE INSIDE, YOU TAKE IT WITH YOU" and by reading this book it is actually very true.

John Edward is a well respected and fine psychic medium who also has the gift of putting words to paper which alot of people have trouble with.

I would recommend this book to absolutely anyone whether they believe in the afterlife or not, because when they eventually read this their attitudes may well change.

This book is unique, in that it tells the story of unconditional love both before and AFTER death.

5.0 out of 5 stars A poignant story, 25 Jun 2002
By Amanda (Essex, UK) - See all my reviews
I too finished this book within 2 hours of first opening the cover. It is an extremely well written, thought provoking story which you just know must have been based partly on personal experience.

It is without doubt the most moving thing I have ever read; I found myself digging deep into my own memories and experiences as I turned each page. I was literally moved to tears, both of laughter and sadness, and I would urge anyone who has suffered a bereavement to read this and take the comfort that is so clearly offered.

5.0 out of 5 stars What If John Edward were the Sun, 27 April 2004
By Mrs. T. Mannell "mannelltoni" (hampshire, england) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
John Edward, from his highly successful shows in the US, has been introduced to the UK market through the satellite channels, and now through his written word.
This book, well written, introduced us to John Edward's life as a medium, how he first realised he had been given this gift, and how he has used it to help others.
Amusingly, he tells how if someone needs to come through to him, even when he is not "on air", the voices within him do not stop until he has acknowledged them, and done something for the person who has passed over.
The losses of members of his own family, his mother and grandmother, uncles and aunts, are told movingly, but truthfully.
A believer in some form of afterlife before I read this work, I am firmly convinced now that I will be able to get a message back to my loved ones, and that there are good people out there, like John Edward, who will convey that message.
Excellent work, moving in places, amusing in others.
