Product Description

Product Description

With the publication of this book in 1993, Li Hongzhi changed the face of qigong practice in China and ultimately the world. This introductory text (a curious blend of Taoism, Buddhism, and qigong practice) systematically and clearly explains the practice of Falun Gong. The goal of Falun Gong is to encourage people in a spiritual and physical practice that improves the body, mind, and spirit. For Li Hongzhi, qigong without a strong ethical/spiritual component is of limited value. The goal for his followers is both inner and outer health. This is the core introductory text for the beginner. The main benefits are: A clear introduction to the philosophy. Step-by-step instruction in the exercises.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic and Excellent book to read!, 15 May 2001
By Mr. C. E. Sugden (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book can be described as an abridged version of the main book Zhuan Falun. It describes the principles of an ancient Chinese Cultivation Practice system (Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa) which cultivates the mind, body and spirit. The practice is based on three principles of:

Truthfulness - Compassion - Forbearance

...

Falun Gong is currently being wrongly persecuted in China by the Chinese Government. The simple reason for the persecution is that the numbers of Falun Gong practitioners (100 million) became too large for an atheist communist government and therefore Jiang Zemin (Chinese President) started a very vicious crackdown on Falun Gong...

5.0 out of 5 stars A very profound and excellent book., 21 Jan 2001
By Mr. C. E. Sugden (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: China Falun Gong (Paperback)
This book is an excellent read. It is a book describing the essentials of an ancient spiritual practice crafted for today. It is a simplified version of Mr. Li Hongzhi's second book, 'Zhuan Falun.' It also contains instructions for the five sets of gentle and meditative exercises that Falun Gong has. I would recommend this book to anyone; it is very profound and very interesting

This book answers all those questions concerning life, death and the universe that people are always asking. I continually read the book everyday and have done for over three years and I still gain wisdom each time I read. I can only hope that you will read it as it will be of boudless benefit to you. Thankyou Mr. Li Hongzhi for such a precious book.
