Conscious Living - Australia

"Without a shadow of a doubt, this book's clarity offers a wide path to intellectual freedom, spiritual joy and utter personal power"

Book Description

First in the Toltec Teachings Series, Return of the Warriors introduces the Warrior's Path and the Toltec Path of Freedom. This is an action-based approach to life, in which individuals are taught to value their own experience more highly than information from others. Theun Mares introduces the basic concepts of this path, as well as the practical techniques, and provides the tools used by warriors in everyday life to build self-belief, self-reliance and self-empowerment - the true foundations for freedom.

Topics include: Your view of the world – how it defines you, how you maintain it and the steps you need to take to break out of it. The power of true knowledge and how this leads to unwavering belief in self and true success. Becoming aware of your social conditioning and how to start freeing yourself from it. The secrets used by warriors on this path to achieve lasting change and freedom. Why your weaknesses are your unrealised potentials and the keys to using them to realise your dreams.

5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom from social conditioning, 15 Jan 2001
By patzor@dircon.co.uk (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This is a practical book that emphasises the importance of personal knowledge. Toltec concepts are presented clearly and concisely. Despite its uncompromising message, the author's sense of humour is evident. The book provides practical techniques for freeing ourselves from the debilitating effects of social conditioning. It inspired me to examine more deeply the futility of searching for meaning within traditional social mythology. I highly recommend this book to those who are serious about transforming their lives

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't wait until tommorrow to read it!, 8 Nov 2000
This book is full of heart. It is simple and direct in setting out practical techniques to unfold your true potential, experience life fully and open your heart to the endless possibilities by which we are surrounded all the time. It is not a quick fix, it means being serious about working on yourself every step of the way, but I speak from experience in saying that it is WELL WORTH IT.

5.0 out of 5 stars Theun is Theun...no fake, 30 Aug 2009
I have noticed bad reviews on this book on amazon.com so I wanted to partecipate with my own good one about all his books.

I have to admit this author is pretty unusual. He's pretty hidden from the crowd, he just run his businesses undisturbed; he teaches his own obscure culture without much trying to compare it with the works of others; he doesn't try much to sell his books, so that one might really hate this guy because he doesn't care at all if you are not meant to follow his lead. He shows subtly his well hidden ruthless in sentences like this: "It is because you are unhappy and want to change that you are reading this book". He sells some of his books only via a private unknown company for incredible high prices. He speaks with such an authority you would like to kill him for his apparent arrogance. And he can really kill your thoughts with his words.

But he doesn't care, because he knows he's doing it with love, not only for the knowledge he transmits, but also with love for you... what's your name? Is that possible?

What is revealed in this books transpires the utmost sincery and courage I have ever seen. Theun is a kind of myth to me. I understand his hiding (not so much) because talking about personal improvement don't need to receive public approval; the point is to strenghten the individual, and through it the society, but not at all a commercial one.

He brought a great deal of light into a still obscure science that cannot mostly be spoken of, but only lived day by day. His books contain many many layers of understanding, like all the books that speak of eternal truths.
Castaneda's writings are more appealing for a reader that stop short with the romance, with the story, the mind travel given with the track of the book; but only Theun's books can put a reasonable poing of view in the philosopical truth that most people look for in Castaneda. Castaneda gives you the fairy tale, Theun the truth behind it.

Having started maybe 10 years ago getting to know about Toltec science from Castaneda as introduction and Theun as study, I had to let his books down because they are kind of abstract sometimes, but I find myself going back to thise books again and again, with new understadings and admiration for his work.

This books are no bu..s..ts. Use them with care.
