About the Author
Alan Rice is 55 years young and lives with his wife Mo in the historic town of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.Born in Fulham, London, his family moved to Hemel Hempstead when he was only four years old and, surprisingly, took him along. Apart from three years shared between St Ives, Cambridgeshire and Daventry, Northamptonshire, he has always lived in or around "Hemel" or "Berko". His claims to fame are that he has played guitar and sang in a pub-rock band and actually got paid for it and has ridden a Harley Davidson out into the Navada desert without falling off once.In between writing he earns a crust working "in computers", a phrase that no longer draws the admiring glances that it did twenty-odd years ago when he first uttered it.He has two children: Nikki and Dean, two stepchildren: Helen and Kate, and four grandchildren: Rachel, Christopher, Erin and Gracie all of whom keep him young and insane.

I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend to others. It has a great plot and characters and I found it difficult to put down. It was not obvious who the killer was, unlike some other books I've read, so I couldn't wait to get to the end to find out who it was.

A big fan and reader of crime novels I have started to notice an increasing tendency to over elaborate, creating a good story but sometimes a little too complex or far fetched for a crime novel. The Wrong Place, Wrong Time provides a good slap of reality whilst still managing to introduce the suspense and twists that we seek in a good crime novel. The characters are realistic and we are given just the right amount of background to allow us to add colour to their personality and place them nicely within the fast moving plot. I have not read any of Alan Rice's books before, but this is an excellent read and I am left wanting a sequel. If like me you like a good crime novel, then get yourself a copy of this
