5.0 out of 5 stars Halarious, 22 April 2007
I found this book so funny and entertaining. I related to quite a few suggestions of Irish life but at the same time laughed at others. For a non-Irish person to read this book, its not all true! Alot of it is exaggerated and only relevant to older people wheresome traditions are dying out. Overall, an excellent read and especially entertaining for Irish who can understand where its coming from.

I bought this at Shannon Airport and read it on my flight home. Laughed out loud through the turbulence. Can highly recommend it to anyone of Irish parentage - there's plenty for you to relate to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Witty and true, 10 Aug 2008

Perceptive and true but - even better - witty and entertaining too, Frank McNally captures all the contradictions and quirks that make up the Irish character. I loved it.
