Product Description
It's India in 1936. Two young women, Agnes Moondancer and Irene McTavish must flee India following the sudden death of Irene's Fiance, Prince Rohal of Kimbustan. Fifty years later, twins Kelly and Tim McTavish inherit Aunt Irene's battered old oil lamp and her treasure...which is now missing. Two worlds collide when the twins fall asleep with the Lantern burning and are transported to another world in a different time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Magic Lantern of Kimbustan, 29 May 2007
By Kayleigh (England) - See all my reviews
I loved the way in this book you didn't know what was happening to begin with and they had to work it out as they went along. It made it more exciting. My favourite child in the book was Tim because he took the lead and was ever so brave.

I loved it when the tiger chased after Kelly and when they all opened the Treasure Chest. The book is so full of surprises it makes you feel part of the book. I loved it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Mixed views!, 9 Jul 2007
The story was good, but (more than anything) I was surprised by how little thought went into the production of the book itself - it came across as quite cheap and "unexciting", not the sort of book that jumped off the shelf at you, and certainly not one that you would enjoy the "touch and feel" of, something (as a book collector) I always look for in a book. It did not do the story justice.

5.0 out of 5 stars A magical story, 29 May 2007
By Mrs. K. K. Gorvett (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
My daughter was given this book to read and this is her review.

I really enjoyed reading this book because of the way reality turned into dreams. I really liked Aunt Irene because she has a charm about the way she acts.

It was a very exciting book especially when Irene and Agnes are trapped with the Indian mob on one side and the British army on the other. I loved it.

Megan Gorvett age 10
