Expertly edited by Helen Batting, the nom-de-plume of a distinguished British-born historian, novelist, travel writer and freelance journalist, the Diary is also used to point to parallels with the present Prince of Wales and other public figures. Although using the same format, she should not, of course, be confused with the author of "Bridget Jones' Diary", "Helen Fielding"...

'Helen Batting' is the nom-de-plume of writer and freelance journalist Michael Montgomery, whose previous books include All Out For Everest, Who Sank The Sydney?, Imperialist Japan, Fifth Men and Lear's Italy.
