I was looking forward to reading this one but unfortunately it was very dull from the start and it didn't improve with reading.I read it twice to make sure it was as bad as I thought and oh dear !It was.I love all things Stargate but this book will sit for a long time on the shelf now.Sorry

1.0 out of 5 stars Valhalla - yuck, 4 Nov 2009
I have all the Stargate books that are out there and this one is the WORST of them all. The characters are so out of character that they grate. The plot is boring. I have read it all the way through but it was painful to do. It took me three tries just to get to chapter three. Daniel is in the story but you wouldn't know that from the cover art. He does not have much to do though and comes off as a bit of an idiot at times, as does Sam. This is pretty much a Jonas Quinn story - for the two or three fans out there. I don't think the author knows anything about Stargate, and honestly, I would PAY him if he promised never to write for Stargate again.
