5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 3 Nov 2006
By New Mum (England) - See all my reviews
At first I thought this would be just another book about babies and how to look after them, but once I opened the cover and started reading, I was pleasantly surprised. This book gives you all the stuff you need to know about in order to make the best decisions about the health and safety of your baby. There are lots of questions I want to know the answers to, but with a small baby to look after, I don't have time to go trawling about on the internet for hours trying to find it - even if I knew where to look! Here you get the truth about stuff like the MMR vaccine, bed sharing, SIDS, and lots of other stuff too: scans, home birth, nutrition, the effects of smoking and drinking in pregnancy, all scientifically referenced. OK, there are some long words I can't even spell, and sometimes the info is a bit scary - but that's exactly why I think this book is so useful. We really need to know this stuff! Every pregnant mum to be and new parent should read this.
