Product Description

Review

"Loads of chefs from Ainsley to Zilli, have contributed dishes to a lovely book, East meets West (Accent GBP 14.99) with proceeds going to tsunami relief in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. Buy it for that warm, fuzzy feeling." Observer Food Monthly - June 2005"

Product Description

This book presents a unique collection of recipes and articles by internationally renowned celebrity cooks, culinary experts and wine writers aiding the long term recovery of victims of the tsunami disaster. "East meets West" has been compiled by two British women, Barbara Jayson MBE and Jenny de Montfort, who met whilst living in Indonesia. Barbara was responsible for establishing The Foundation for Mother and Child Health in Indonesia and was recently awarded her MBE for charitable work. Jenny was born in Sri Lanka and has kept up close links with the island. All profits from the sale of the book will go towards the long term rehabilitation of children and their parents affected by the tsunami.

5.0 out of 5 stars A 'Must Have' in every discerning cook's kitchen!, 10 Jun 2005
By A Customer
'East Meets West' is a thoroughly enjoyable and informative read. And what a brilliant idea: recipe samples from many of the world's greatest culinary celebrities, all bound into one very neat and attractive volume.
It's not merely recipes however: many experts have contributed interesting articles on food and drink in general, making this not only a book for the kitchen, but quite definitely for the coffee table as well.
