Since the diet can involve becoming a speed freak, prostitute or anorexic, your dying day may arrive sooner than you anticipated. But to look on the bright side, dammit, you'll be thin. And that's all that matters! Isn't it? This book, an uncompromising satire on our diet-obsessed society, illustrates that there are many different ways, apart from becoming French, to lose weight. Not all of them are a good idea.

I bought this because I thought the title looked funny and I wasn't disappointed. This book is a hilarious send-up of our obsessive, destructive diet culture. Highly recommended, both for those who despise diets and those who take them that bit too seriously.

What an absoloutely distastefull diatribe of bad taste and cycicism. Highly recommended....! I think I might have sorted out a few easy Christmas presents for some reprobate mates for this year...

This is a fun book. I've seen my obsessive-compulsive friends go on the smelly Atkins / G-Plan / Sharon-Osbourne diets and achieve nothing but bad breath and self-loathing.

This book surprised me not just by the breadth of its humour, (its not just an amusing title) but also the number of times it made me belly laugh.

Oh, and it's not just for Smackheads, but also the nervous, the chainsmokers, those with tapeworms, and of course, also the french.
