3.0 out of 5 stars Tongue-in-cheek, 4 April 2007
By Kym (USA) - See all my reviews
As a tongue-in-cheek attempt at a handbook to either spot a Goth or be a Goth, it does hit the mark fairly well. The guide is structured by six chapters-namely, "the Dark and Mysterious world of Goths,"a guide to goth-spotting","Goth philosophy", "How to become a Goth: Ten simple steps", "The Mating Ritual" and "How to insult a Goth".
If you put numerous mistakes aside it's an enjoybale enough read that has a lot of funny moments.

3.0 out of 5 stars A little Giggle, 31 Aug 2009
I had actually bought this book as a joke, but it actually wasn't that bad. I couldn't help giggling in some parts 'I am not a goth!' - that is now my ongoing joke! Some bits are quite intresting, for example it lists the different words for goth in different languages. It's quite alright, given that its not to be taken too seriously, hence the silly jokes inside for example ' How to insult a goth'. To sum it up in one word: Silly
