Review
5 stars - Roger Willcocks - The next Michael Crichton ?, October 28, 2005 Reviewer: An Amazon customer from Amersham, Bucks, United Kingdom As someone from the software business and an avid long time Michael Crichton fan I found City of Liars a terrific first novel. Roger's first hand experience in the dynamic software world, both pre and post internet bubble, shows through. Many of his scenarios will raise a wry smile from those of us who have dealt with similar situations. However the book also has much general appeal to those who simply like a fast paced thriller with several twists and turns. Finally I quite liked the setting - from hi-tech corporate london to cosmopolitan Balham and Clapham where our hero travels up down the Northern Line. The true test of a good book - I had to stay up until I finished it. In fairness my wife was not as keen - but then she is more into Jane Austen - so maybe this is more for those who prefer Guy-Fi as opposed to lovers of Chick-Lit. 4 stars - John Grishamesque, October 26, 2005 Reviewer: An Amazon customer from London WOW! I picked up this book after the back cover content caught my eye as it is filling a niche that is somewhat lacking at the moment - technology meets business. Could not put it down and had all the pace and energy of a John Grisham!
