Synopsis
"King of the Birds" is a dark fantasy tale set in Nottingham. It's a story about an epic feud that spans the generations, a war between birds and men to find the true king of the species. Billy, a homeless man finds himself embroiled in this battle which brings him face to face with magical shape shifters and all manner of creatures. He haphazardly stumbles across the king of the birds, and finds himself lumbered with the role of protector. What follows is a stream of events so out of this world that Billy's perception of reality is changed forever. To defeat the Magpies and the evil Fox Mistress he must use his strength and dexterity. He must transform himself from hapless wanderer to warrior. His only ally is Pigeon the Storyteller, an eccentric old man whose best friends are the pigeons in Market square. Together they will take a journey to find out who really is the king of the birds.
