5.0 out of 5 stars The babycare bible - in Dadspeak, 4 April 2008
By G. Marshall Thornhill "grogee" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book should be standard issue for all new Dads: it contains everything you wanted to know about babycare, but were too afraid to ask.

It's well written and assumes no prior knowledge of babycare - let's face it, most Dads avoid babies like the plague until their own comes along, whereas women tend to group together and embrace child care.

There are some great illustrations and the layout is easy to navigate, particularly in times of stress (illness, crying etc).

There is also some great advice as to how Mum may be feeling directly after birth, and how to introduce new baby into your home for the first time.

Much of the content in here relates to things Dads feel they should know about, but it's sometimes embarrassing to ask, or Dads might feel they're encroaching into Mum's territory.

5.0 out of 5 stars great present for new dads and dads to be, 15 April 2008
By paula h (london, uk) - See all my reviews
I bought this book for my husband but enjoyed reading it too. Made me see the bond between my husband and our 7-month-old son in a different light. The chapters are very well structured and I liked the personal experiences within the chapters. My husband liked the toddler chapters very much. The 'We need to talk' boxes are a bonus.

I'll definitely recommend it to friends.
