Synopsis
In a sandstone tomb deep in the Takla Maklan Desert in Northwestern China, archaeologists unearthed a treasure trove of ancient scrolls written by the world's first cat philosopher, Yo Meow Ma. After years of diligent translation, the wisdom of this ancient feline is finally available to the general public. Each saying and allegory is carefully presented and analyzed by the scientist who founded the modern study of Catosophy (Cat Philosophy). Is it real? Of course not. Cats can't write. But through this wonderfully fanciful and humorous premise, the wisdom of cats and modern mankind meet. Full of lessons and allegorical tales, written as if an ancient sage cat was teaching future generations of kittens, the messages for her human counterparts are clear. On the surface there are dozens of wicked little winks, bogus footnotes, pseudo-science, and cat-oriented messages. But at heart, it is a wonderful spiritual guide for living a better life, solving the problems of modern living, and defeating the moral quagmires that can pull all of us down. If cats could write, they would write this book.
But since they can't, a human who has listened to the lessons of the feline world is doing it for them. Wit and wisdom universally acknowledged; A charming new look at feline behaviour
