I just want to write one and only one word about this book : WOW !!

Snowdrops for Ada is that kind of book you litterally 'eat' you just cant help reading and reading until you got the answer that you are free to manipulate.

This book didn't change my life but I think it influenced my way of like quite a lot ! So, thanks for everything. You're #1.

You really want to know what happens to the little girl dressed in black. From the very beginning I felt compelled to keep reading to ensure the little girls well being and would not rest until I knew she would be happy again and loved. An incredibly moving book which at times causes frustration due to the lengthy process and unsupportive 'adoption Laws' towards female next of kin during this era. I thoroughly recommend this book. I am waiting in anticipation for the next one!

Immersing you into a most difficult and moving part of Ada's Life, Snowdrops for Ada cleverly captures not only the essence of family life and values in this era but the sadness and hope of young Ada.

Virginia Aitken magically takes you into Ely by the hand and leads you through the wonderful surrounding countryside vividly and brilliantly. Since reading Snowdrops for Ada I feel that I know this part of the the fenland well.

Snowdrops for Ada is a beautiful and moving book and I couldn't put it down until I had an answer to my question!
