My husband and I left Derbyshire many years ago. I bought this book to remind us of the beautiful countryside of the Peak District. Now we're planning a return trip!

The images in this book have been created on a digital camera and stitched digitally. I know this because firstly, there a numerous "dust bunnies" visible at regular intervals in several of the pictures, caused by contamination of the cameras digital sensor. Secondly, some of the digital stitching leaves a lot to be desired and poor alignment in the overlapping of frames is sometimes evident.

Both of these problems are easily fixed and to be honest it's inexcusable for them to be so clearly visible in such a publication. Add to that the lack of any dramatic lighting in most shots and you are left with a pretty uninspiring book, which is a great shame, since the Peak District does contain some fabulous panoramas.
