Product Description

Product Description

Magical die-cutting draws the reader from page to page of colourful artwork. Soon the rhymes will be read or, more probably, sung by heart.

From the Publisher

The first in this series – There was an Old Lady who swallowed a fly – was the first book to be published by Child’s Play in 1972 and it is still in great demand today. --This text refers to the Board book edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book!, 29 Jan 2009
By Daniela (Cambridge, UK) - See all my reviews
My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves this book, we borrowed it from the library first and then bought it, as it was such a hit with her! She loves counting the sausages and pointing at the numbers etc and keeps reading it to her dollies. It is also very nice as you can sing along, which she likes, and it has lots of scope to talk about different nummerical concepts, such as a few, many, lots etc. Her favorite is of course the naughty dog who runs off with them. I can highly recommend this book. The only thing to look out for is the SIZE of the book - we unknowingly bought the giant version, its about 45cmx45cm ... and makes it hard to handle.
