Product Description

Review
"Reveals the inner workings of the gangs, details the rip-offs, double crosses and many killings they have been involved in....What sets the book apart is that, while essentially a work of fiction, the key elements of the story are true....As a senior member of one of Britain's most successful criminal gangs, he has made tens of millions of pounds from drug trafficking, armed robbery, kidnapping and murder over the past 20 years."

Book Description
BILLY ABRAHAMS IS A CAREER criminal who makes a very good living from violence, armed robbery, operating sex shops and stealing from other criminals. But he becomes increasingly haunted by childhood ghosts and by the ever-growing influence of Danny, his psychopathic partner in crime.
Billy finds himself starting to look beyond the violence and the scams, slowly descending into a drug-fuelled netherworld that affects his judgment and his perceptions. He is finally tipped over the edge when Danny commits an act even Billy cannot stomach. And that’s when things really start to go wrong…

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome view of life inside londons most feared firm, 3 Aug 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Judas Pig (Paperback)
i got this book the day it came out and have read it 15-20 times since . basically an autobiography as opposed to a work of fiction , this is written by the 2nd in command of Londons most feared firm , the Hunt gang , who made the Adams family look like the salvation army . A rollercoaster ride from start to finish , a real eye-opener and far more interesting than any of the so-called 'hardmen' autobiographies out there at the moment . Highly recommended .

5.0 out of 5 stars So powerful and disturbing - but a great story, 25 Feb 2004
By Andy Lake (Streatham, SE16) - See all my reviews
I read judas Pig in one go. It tells of the real savagery that goes on in the British criminal underworld, none of this pally, jokey 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' rubbish. Dog eat dog and only the fittest survives. At the end of the book I felt moved, enilightened but most of all disturbed. This book tells what crime is really like: nasty, vicious and frightening. Horace Silver (whoever he is) has exposed the truth and written a very exciting novel at the same time. This really is the best crime book I've read in a long, long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hats off to Horace, 20 Jun 2004
I must profess some inside knowledge regarding this book. I come from the same manor as 'Horace' and his pals. They were an absolute bunch of lunatics and ran the plot with iron fists, not to mention guns and knifes. But they weren't liberty takers. In fact if anyone round here had any grief Horace's firm would always lend a friendly ear. (For the right price). I've only seen them in action once and that was when they copped hold of house burglar. They pulled out tools and opened him up like a can of beans. But I must say,the book is bang on. I recognise nearly all the bods in the book. It's so true to life, it's frightening. Sweet as a nut, my son.
