5.0 out of 5 stars Making money on-line, 22 Nov 2002
By A Customer
Most people just go and get a web site built and then after a while wonder why they dont make a penny from it, or even get a visitor to it.

This book explains how to do both in a fun and informative way, its also (thankfully) easy to understand and many of the hints and tips have actually been used by the authors to develop out their on-line business into something that actually makes money.

There's a lot in this book so its a really excellent resource for those in business whether marketing, branding (especially clever ways of branding are explained) e-commerce, or for students looking for a mix between how to start-up a business and use e-commerce within the total business/customer proposition.

The index is user-friendly, and the book is well illustrated, its definately not one of those heavy weight non-understandable graph here and quantum physics non-one ever grasps anyway books, but a book actually written by people who had the dream and guts to make a success.

Its a good read and will be a big help if you are involved in this area for yourself, your employer or studying.

5.0 out of 5 stars UNBELIEVABLE!! The most informative book on marketing via th, 22 Mar 2003
By A Customer
Have you ever seen a web site and wondered how it became successful? How it was started and brought to screaming success? Have you ever pondered about the strategies that made the site such a success and wished you could apply those strategies to your own online business?
In this brand new book by Martin Brighty and Dean Markham, you're given a unique insider's look at what makes a successful online business... by studying a real-life example.

The most interesting aspect of this book is that most successful web sites want to keep their techniques to secret. However, Dean and Martin have instead chosen to outline their strategies for you in their new book.

The book begins with a background of the online business and the market. From there, readers learn how the authors collected market data, designed their web site, determined the company's primary goals, and put their ideas into action. This step-by-step book outlines how to develop an online brand, how the web site itself was optimized, and how the authors created a market niche for their product line.

This is must read for anyone currently using or looking into using the internet to market their products or services.
