About the Author
John Malam studied ancient history and archaeology at the University of Birmingham. He is now a writer specialising in books for children. He lives in Cheshire with his wife, a book designer, and their two young children. David Antram was born in Brighton in 1958. He studied at Eastbourne College of Art and then worked in advertising for 15 years before becoming a full-time artist. He has illustrated many children's non-fiction books.
