Product Description

Product Description

If there is one woman that has affected the turbulent affairs of the House of Windsor more than any other, that woman is Camilla Parker Bowles. Named by Diana as the "third person" in her marriage to Charles, she has single-handedly altered the course of British monarchy. Yet despite the fact that she is constantly in the public eye, despite the media attention and the rumours, surprisingly little is known about the real Camilla. In this book, Caroline Graham has spoken to not only friends and family of Camilla, but also gleaned information from some of Camilla's advisors. She explores the tale of Charles and Camilla's romance and Camilla's feelings about the public's rejection of her and how she won over her critics to take her place at Charles' side.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the one to go for!!!!, 24 Jan 2005

This was well researched, well put together and plausable. I have read alot about the current monarchy. This book holds water. The author is not sycophantic. She documents the life of Camilla in a very orderly manner. But most importantly it is a very good read. One comes away from this book, understanding the events which have brought us to the present day situation. If you want information this is the one to go for.

3.0 out of 5 stars A reader from Dublin, 9 Mar 2004
By A Customer
I enjoyed the book enormously, but I would have to say that the content was focused much more on the Prince and Princess of Wales than Camilla Parker Parker Bowles and gave more insight into their lives than Mrs Parker Bowles. Nonetheless, it was a good read.
