I was very disappointed with this book. It was very vague and some of the tales were inaccurate. At least the photographs were of the man in question.

It is rare you get to see the real Prince Harry. This fascinating young man has been forced to spend his life overshadowed by almost every member of his family, from his grandmother the Queen to his older brother, heir to the throne. So it would be expected this book would finally reveal a glimpse of the boy who will never be King.

In some ways, it does. It provides great detail of Harry's unfortunate downfall with drugs and alcohol and the heartache he faced at his mother's death, and it does have some amusing little ancedotes of his schoolday antics. However, even in a book celebrating his own 18th, Harry still finds himself being pushed into the wings by big brother William and other important people in his life. In some places, it could be said that Harry is barely mentioned as tales of other people take priority. Hardly fair when it is the fiesty young sportsman's first real opportunity to shine alone.

Despite being a good read and very entertaining in some parts, it is sadly lacking in the some of the detail readers want in others. This is the book that is supposed to have shown the real Harry, the young man behind the cheeky smile and Eton tailcoats. For me, it didn't quite fulfill this.
