Craig Brown's book is just like his football...Dull!!, 6 Nov 2001
Wasn't impressed with this rather lacklustre read. Craig spend most of the book talking about the games he managed, which is what you woould expect, however he goes into very little detail and the stories lack and real sense of passion. If your a Scotland fan(like me) you'll know what I mean when I say that this book was written in Craig's very distinctive defensive style, no attacking play, no spark, nothing to inspire or marvel at. The book seems largely a vehicle for defending his 'successful' record for Scotland, with every single game having some sort of 'it wasn't my fault' or 'they're not really minnows' style of excuse. Lacking in imagination, passion, style and wit.. Earn an extra star as I'm a Scotland supporter.Sorry Craig but you're a better manager than a you are a biographer..

Craig's book is a bit like his football....bland, 5 Nov 2001
If your a Scotland fan(like me) and you want to know why we've never acheived bugger all, then read it.. There is a lack of detail and no real passion when talking about the Scotland games, its the same lack of passion that epitomised his reign as a 'successful' Scotland manager.. if you want to stay awake put it down..!Sorry Craig, personally I wouldn't mind getting beat if we played more exciting footie..
