From the Author
I was 10 years old when WW2 broke out, but now, aged 76, I still have the clearest recollection of so many things that occurred at that time. I found that I was always being asked about WW2 and decided to put something down on paper - hence the book. In the process of writing it, I found that the more I thought back - the more I remembered, in fact an accumulative process ! The book is illustrated with several sketches that I made as events occurred, and give some indication of the sort of things that attracted the interest of a schoolboy at that time. Everyone that I know who has read it, has seemed to enjoy the book, and it is perhaps particularly appropriate that it should come at this anniversary of the end of WW2, celebrated all over the world. If difficult to find, it can be obtained from any bookshop with micro-fiche, or direct from Woodfield Publishing. I hope you enjoy it too !!
