The Lads Mag
'A comprehensive look at some of Britain's most notorious hooligan
factions.'

Book Description
Every football team in Britain has at one time or another attracted a hooligan element, from the Guv'nors of Manchester City and the Frontline of Middlesbrough to the Subway Army of Wolverhampton Wanderers and the legendary ICF of West Ham United. Authors Nick Lowles and Andy Nicholls have interviewed scores of former and current gang members to compile the first ever encyclopaedia of all the gangs. Each club has a separate entry listing the names of its gangs, their size, how they formed, their worst fights, their bitterest rivals and how the police attempted to stop them.

A "Must have" for the lads (and there dads!!) retired or still at it, brought a tear to my eye, especially when you read of fines and community service when today such behaviour gets you 3 years! A trip down memory lane, well written and very true.

Well if your like me and have read lots of books about different clubs around the country take my advise and dont bother buying this book.

I bought it hoping it would be at least interesting but its not and its just old tales being told in a different book.

Boring and old i think the stage as come where anyone who as seen violence at a football match is now writing a book.

Very dissapointing

5.0 out of 5 stars A hooligan "must have", 6 Dec 2005
The book to end them all!
Forget 2nd and 3rd hand accounts of how we battered everyone and anyone, this is the definative book on FV, well written and interesting it gives every angle you could wish for and more, from both mobs involved to the police reports and even comments from the judges who were sending the lads down and poor unfortunate old ladies who Saturday afternoons were wrecked by mindless thugs!
Could do with some more pictures to comp[lement the excellent text but it can be picked up and put down at ease.
Quality...bring on volume 2.
