Book Description
For 20 years, Paul DeBrick has been recognised as one of the hardest men on the British football hooligan scene. As a main face - some say as the main face - with the infamous Middlesbrough Frontline, he has fought literally hundreds of battles against rival crews from all over the country. A man who can never do things by halves, The Brick developed a heroin and crack habit in the mid-90s that saw him plummet to the depths. When he was given a week to live by doctors, he vowed to fight his way back to health and strength - and he succeeded.

Synopsis
The call him simply The Brick. For twenty years, Paul Debrick has been recognised as one of the hardest men on the British football hooligan scene. As a main face - some say the main face - with the infamous Middlesbrough Frontline, he has fought literally hundreds of battles against rivals crews from all over the country. Born and raised on the grim Hemlington estate just south of Middlesbrough, he began fighting in a schoolboy gang and was introduced to terrace trouble in the heyday of the early 1980s. He soon helped to build the Boro mob into one of the most feared around. At one time a serious, competitive bodybuilder, he also worked for more ten years as a bouncer on some of the roughest pub and club doors in the country. He has been shot at, stabbed, gassed and jailed - and he has dished it out in spades. Yet at one time he was given only a week to live. A man who can never do things by halves, The Brick developed a heroin and crack habit in the mid-90s that saw him plummet to the depths. When he was given a week to live by doctors, he vowed to fight his way back to health and strength - and succeeded.

Now retired from a life of relentless violence, he is still a man not to be messed with, under any circumstances.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Brick, 1 Feb 2006
These sort of books always get the taste buds flowing, Paul Debrick had lived a completly mad life thru football Hooliganism, drugs and crime.
Somebody you would want as a mate rather than an enemy, throughout his life he's been one of the faces at football, he's been someone his friends could rely on for help, if needed, and he's been in the gutter when the drugs took over.
I don't know how true this book is, but if it is complete fact then this man has balls for writing it as it was.
Paul, if you read this review i'd just like to say how much i enjoyed the book and if you release a 2nd book i'll be buying that as well, but no more KIT KAT scenarios please.

2.0 out of 5 stars a little insight into the frontline ... a truthful read, 19 Nov 2005
the Brick was not Boro's main face.. but he was apart of the frontline .. the book he's wrote is a honest account done or been done..
its well worth the money as most of these books on the market are s**t..
this book is only a little insight into the frontline...they should be another book to come with it..soon...
myself I never rated Everton that much as a frontliner !!!
