Pushkin is often referred to as the Russian Byron. I have felt this a gross injustice because Pushkin was far more talented. Byron's poetry is dated and really very ropey, where as Pushkin is the progenitor of great Russian literature(Dostoevsky and Tolstoy both acknowledged their debt to him). Pushkin is a gifted lyricist so it is important that he is given a translator apt for the task. The dedalus version in this respect is far superior to the OUP and Penguin editions. I also have it on good authority from a few friends that speak Russian that the dedalus copy captures more of Pushkin's spirit.
