5.0 out of 5 stars Impeccable source of information, 7 Oct 2002
By A Customer
Have just returned from Malaysia, and found that this guide was almost perfect in every aspect, including restaurant reviews, maps, local information and even the politics! This book never left my side, providing great information always. You would think this guide was written by a local! On the strength of this book, I have bought the London guide and found it to be just as informative. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't leave home without it!, 12 Dec 2005
By A Customer
This book is brill. Forget Lonely Planet and Rough Guide, amongst my group of friends we took all three with us on a four week backpacking mission and found Footprint to be by far the most comprehensive and up to date. It has all you need to know about food, accomodation and transport with realistic estimates on prices to help you plan your budget. Rammed packed with suggested itineries and activities as well as loads of info on Malaysia's culture and history, this book helps you really make the most of your travels. But the best thing is its got loads of maps of even the smallest places so when you turn up knackered at your destination you dont have to worry about getting lost with a hefty backpack in tow! Also has really good info to help you cross the singapore/ thai borders if you're feeling adventurous. I'd highly recommend this book, and in fact any others of those in their series!
