Product Description

Synopsis

The Bowen Technique is a holistic therapy, originally developed in Australia. Bowen moves are a form of gentle but precise soft tissue manipulation. Energy is released by relaxing muscles and opening pathways. This handbook on the technique is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and line drawings which guide the reader through the various techniques involved. The book is intended as a reference guide whilst the student is being professionally taught as the subtleties of the technique are too complicated to learn without this instruction.

If you have started training in the fascinating and effective Bowen Technique, got the bug and want to know more this book hits the spot. It quite responsibly does not give all the information you would receive in training, but it IS great as a reminder and reference manual. The pictures are clear and the language simple and easy to follow.

Excellent, informative book. Gives you an insight into this fascinating therapy. A really good buy for the layman or expert alike.

Far too technical for the non medical reader.The book really only covers the theoretical aspects of the treatment.There is no clear description of the application of the technique.The practical application is much better appreciated and understood by obtaining the dvd entitled 'miracle pain relief' by Gerri Shapiro.Its also cheaper than the book!
