5.0 out of 5 stars Princess Anna, 29 Jun 2003
By Sara (Great Britain) - See all my reviews
Who in the world does not know Anna Kournikova? Her beautiful face can be seen advertising swiss watches to her yearly calenders. And in this respect the book does not disappoint. It has a picture of Anna on every single page, some of which will be the best ever taken of her.
Indeed presentation is top notch. It is also an easy read with big black print. It has loads of fabulous information regarding her, and opinions from tennis greats like Martina Navaratalova. Never one to display a lack of self-confidence (off the court anyway) and this book has some of Anna's most famous quotes to data, including when she met the spicegirls in 1998, that it was a big deal for them and not for her.
Anna has superstar status and this is a must if you are a fan of her. The book is quick to recognise that Anna-mania has no limits and the book itself is reminscent of a photo album of the tennis babe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top Title for Anna Fanatics!, 3 Aug 2004
By S. K. Horrocks "stevoatash" (Prestwich, England) - See all my reviews

Although this book was published in 2001 and is hardly an in-depth analysis of the Kournikova phenomenon, it's still a very enjoyable, readable and concise summary of Anna's career and personal life to that date. The lovely pictures alone make it worth the cover price, so if you're an Annaholic (like yours truly!) you won't be disappointed. Go on, treat yourself!

4.0 out of 5 stars Tennis goddess, 25 Feb 2004
By B. J. Beresford (Coventry, West Mids United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

If it's information on Anna you're looking for, this isn't really the book for you. It doesn't tell you anything new about her, and it was written in 2000 anyway, so it refers to her "maybe winning a Grand Slam before her career in tennis is over", something we know is not going to happen.

However, if its pictures you're after, this book is a must. Its a lovely souvenir to have, showing her as a child right up to when this was written (ie 2000), both on and off the court. Wonderful glossy pictures, aswell as a pull out poster in the centre, of this stunning young Russian.

A little about her family and boyfriends (Sergei not Enrique, as Iglesias came on the scene after 2000), and her relationship with the media.

As I say, its not the book to be buying someone who wants to know in depth details about the life of Anna, but its certainly a nice book to have if you're the average tennis fan (few pics of Martina Hingis, her doubles partner), or just a hot blooded male who can't get enough of this Russian beauty.
