Bob Biddy's travels through the Black Country is an evocative trail along the canals of this once famous industrial area. It stays away from the flat caps and racing pigeon stereo types of the region, and focus's on the current days ways in the area. a witty and accurate view of a much loved area- anyone who lives or knows the area will feel like they are visiting with an old friend.

I brought this book with high expectations. I was hoping to be educated about the area I have lived in all of my life, instead all I got was an amble around, visting museums and shops that were always closed. I finished the book, totally uninspired and with the feeling it could have been done a lot lot better.
