Product Description

Children love poetry but finding the right poem or the right book can be a real headache when the choice is so vast. Universal Verse: Poetry for Children solves the problem. Over two hundred poetry books have been expertly reviewed by poets, teachers and critics, covering poetry classic and modern, tragic and funny, from Shakespeare to A. A. Milne, from Allan Ahlberg to Benjamin Zephaniah, poetry from the past and the most up-to-date verses from all over the world. With a beautiful cover by Jane Ray and an introduction by Children's Laureate Michael Rosen this is one not to be missed.
