5.0 out of 5 stars Unputdownable, 12 Feb 2004
By Sharon Ackland (Sidcup, Kent United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Love him or hate him, prickly ex-cop turned PI, Jas Anderson is hard to resist. This book finds Jas shacked up with former cell mate Stevie who brings his own emotional baggage into Jas's life. Jas reluctantly takes on a seemingly dead end case and with his usual gritty determination, opens a 'hornets nest' which needs all of his resources to solve. Although the 'Glasgow speak' is hard to understand at first ( but readers of "Freeform" and "Banged Up" should be used to this by now), don't let it put you off. Highly believable characters and a race-to-the-finish ending make this one of Jack Dickson's best stories yet.
