5.0 out of 5 stars Must read for anyone visiting/living in Holland, 14 Dec 2000
By A Customer
In preparation to move to Holland I decided to get this book, it gave me a great overview of what the Dutch are like..... my friend who has been living in Holland for 2 years was crying with laughter: 'This is exactly what they are like!'. This is a good fun look at other nationalities. I am going to see what the author has to say about us!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent snapshot, 29 Jun 2005
By A Customer
Didn't know what to expect of these little guides and was pleasantly surprised how good it was, as I've lived and worked in NL five years now and feel that I too know the place and the people a little. As far as I'm concerned the author has made a well-observed and accurate sketch of life here, amusingly written without patronising. Definitely a recommendation for anyone wanting a light, informative account of the Netherlands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read, 7 Mar 2009
I work in a company headquartered in Netherlands and thus have visited the country many times and have many Dutch co-workers and friends. It projects sympathetic yet objective picture with excellent observations and insights. It's a great book to understand the country and its people, but it is not meant to be a comprehensive resource for a potential expatriate. Finally, comment in a truly Dutch fashion- it's the cheapest guide I could find and therefore is an excellent value for money.
