Product Description
Synopsis
Like remembering how you heard about the assassination of John Lennon, the world and their walkman all have a story about their experiences with Bob Dylan. The fans - Tim, Martin, Clare, and Lambchop - and the famous - Jack Nicholson, Roger McGuinn, Billy Bragg, Paul McCartney, Bono, Jerry Garcia, and Sheryl Crow - all tell the tale of being touched by the hand of Bob. The author delves deep into Dylanland, following his miracle strewn journey, meeting the people who covered his songs, copied his haircut and grabbed at the hem of his frock coat.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lively read spoiled by basic typos, 20 Jul 1999
By A Customer
This will really annoy the Bob anoraks because like CP Lee's snatch of memorabilia Henderson manages to interest you in himself. This ensures that the book can be read with a degree of empathy with the author. He can poke fun at all the foibles of Bob fandom and we know we are gently being mocked.Remarkably for a Dylan tome the book is not written in some inpenetrable academic style and is enjoyable - just like the music. It must lose at least one crown rating for the poor proofreading and reproduction on some pages. A good book to read whilst Manchester City's dogs of war are in a bore draw at Stockport.
