Although the copy I had was some years old and therefore slightly out of date, it really did help me to prepare all the forms for a friends divorce, which has all gone through now, so I highly recommend this book.I would just say that it is best for divorces where there are no children or complicated finances to settle, as then it may be best not to go the DIY route. It explains the process well and has clear pictures of the forms and how they should look once completed, in various situations. It is not simple but if you read it very carefully a few times and keep checking as you go (I photocopied the blank forms first, filled them out and took them to be checked at the court, before filling in the real ones. I wasn't charged by the court for this.It's a really good idea, as if you make mistakes the whole process will either be slowed down or you may have to start again, paying the court fees a second time! So it's best to get it right before submitting your forms.)it is quite straight forward to accomplish.This book really gave me the confidence to tackle this serious situation.
