5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent guide to gay Paris, 14 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This is the best gay travel guide I've ever used. Laurence Phillips doesn't just provide lists of addresses - he gives you his impressions of every establishment that makes up the gay scene in Paris. From the leather bar to the piano bar, from the bathhouse to the cafe, he's been there and he tells you what he thinks, in a form that is both informative and entertaining. I especially like his attitude towards sexual establishments - they are neither shoved off into a corner nor made the sole focus of the book. And he provides a great vocabulary/slang section that is useful for striking up a conversation with a French cutie. The only flaw with the book is that it is not updated more regularly.

I would never travel to Paris without this book.
