Product Description

Aimed at seven-to-11-year-olds and designed for learning at home, the "Mad About Maths" series follows international curriculum guidelines emphasizing the importance of developing children's abilities through games and the use of visual and structural materials. The three books in the series are packed full of multicultural, imaginative theme-based activities, such as number games, quizzes and picture puzzles, motivating children and stimulating their own thinking and exploration of mathematical ideas. Each book also contains six tip-in leaves with press-out numbers, strips, boards and counters to use in the games and puzzles. Bright, eye-catching artwork makes the series visually stimulating as well as educational. Numbers are incredibly versatile and interesting. This title looks at the magic that you can conjure up with prime numbers, "think-of-a-number", Pascal's triangle and Egyptian fractions, to name but a few. The attention given to spotting numerical patterns and differences should also help to improve a child's eye for detail.
