From the Author
I very much enjoyed writing the book and flying in the VC10s based at RAF Brize Norton and on detachment in Italy. I received enourmous support from the RAF, retired pilots, enthusiasts and others from all over the world. My original intention had simply been to sketch the aircraft, a favourite from my childhood, but from that grew the idea of writing a book and it is pleasing to see how well it has been received over the years. I would especially like to be in contact with reviewer who signed himself fitzherbert1 as we may have crossed paths in the past. Once again, thank you very much to everyone who has read and reviewed the book.

This is the one of the best books with regard to British airliners. I am very glad to see many coloured plans and photographs. And explanations for the aircraft are so good that I am now waiting for books concerning other British airliners, for example Comet, Britannia, Viscount and so on.

A great book with many details on this underrated airliner. For me ths was quite nostalgic as I flew many times on VC10s in my childhood. I also flew on the last commercial VC10 operated by Air Malawi so was saddened to see the pictures of this lovely aircraft siiting derelict at Blantyre and being broken up.

A fantastic insight to the British aerospace industry of the 1960's and one of it's finest products. The quality of illustarions and the level to which the subject is covered, is a credit to the authors. Roll on their next project.
