I think this book has a rather misleading title. I bought it hoping it would give me inspiration and information for visiting those little towns and villages off the beaten track which you usually only discover serendipitously. I was dispappointed to find there weren't many of these and that a large part of the book included towns, attractions and even cities which cannot really be classified as "hidden". Quite a lot of the book is also given over to full page reviews/advertorials? (not sure which) of eating establishments and guest houses which I didn't find useful either.
