4.0 out of 5 stars VW Beetle, How to modify/ James Hale, 29 Oct 2002
This book is very detailed, the author has obviously taken alot of time researching this book. It tells you everthing you need to know about the beetle it covers brakes suspensions and what other parts can be added to better the performance. maybe the book could cover more about the 'how to' side of it all. But if used with the relevant haynes manual. Its all a doddle. Ideal book if you are attempting to build your own beach buggy or baja buggy. This will help you. Overall the book is very detailed and is packed full of advice from a man who certainly know his Beetles. Very good.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good general information, 31 Dec 2001
By A Customer
It's a good first book for anyone who is thinking in upgrading a beetle. It's a bit too specific (only covers how to's for the beetle, and even here, only some subjects) but the general content is good. Lot's of good pictures. The information is magazine quality, wich means it's a good guideline, but probably not enough for the serious enthusiast.
