5.0 out of 5 stars A must for every Mini racer, 2 Jun 2001
Like all the books written by Des Hammill, this one is very practical, giving all the assembly tips needed for an high performance bullet proof engine. Des Hammill explains each and every little thing that make the difference with many useful pictures. Definitely a must.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terribly disappointing..., 22 Jan 2006
After having bought "How to Power Tune the Midget/Sprite" which is a great book from the same publisher, I thought I'd get this book for more engine details. It is a big disappointment - it certainly covers over all aspects of tuning the a-series, but is not detailed in any of them to be useful by itself. Personally, save your money and buy David Vizard's incredible "Tuning the A-Series Engine" which is truly a bible for this engine, but also contains enough info for those wanting to choose the best bolt-on parts. Seriously, don't buy this book - even if you have Vizard's book, it will teach you nothing more...
